The reason this post is being made is to give the newer and older drifters in the community common track etiquette for drfting in tandem lobbies. With this upcoming event that we will be planning. We feel that the newer majority needs to know this.
Rolls- Having a medium speed takeoff. Most common roll is at 50mph. The goal is have the follow be close as possible before initiation.
Waiting- At the end of tandem runs. Make sure everyone is off the track. People that spin after the half of a run should go the end of the line, and before the half should go back to start and wait till everyone makes it back up to the start. this causes for less head to head crashes. Also its common courtesy to wait till everyone turns around and get back in single file order behind the pack.
Skill- If you know that you are not as skilled as some of the other drifters, dont get in the front and cause accidents. Stay in the back until you feel confident enough to stay with the lead pack.
Spinning- If you know are going to spin/stall out, get off the track.
Passing/Overtake- Passing is only encourage if a lead drifter is off line. If the door is wide open enough for you to take it without contact.
We feel that this needs to be addressed to fresh recruits and even some of the veterans of the DL. I know most of the regulars of the DL know this, but it will help the new people of the forza drifting community run cleaner tandem lobby's. . Knowing this will be key. Feel free to post any helpful feedback.
